Updates:

A wide range of actions of the Office is supported by a succession of regional and national conferences over the years, as well as training courses and constant updating of professional processes: fire prevention, safety in temporary and mobile job sites, norms and static calculations of scaffolding, fall prevention from the upper part of any construction, contract management from designing phase to execution of work, safety norms (Merloni ter, obligatory norms and BS OHSAS 18001:2007), risk prevention from asbestos exposure, protection from chemical agents, evaluation and reclamation of the working areas as impacted by: noise, vibrations, microclimate, electromagnetic fields – optical and ionizing vibrations, training for Responsible Personnel in the Service of Prevention and Protection Module C and B macro sectors 3- 4.

The most important jobs so far accomplished include the coordinating action during the design and rehabilitation of sports  structures and historic and public buildings, schools and business centres, written preparation of POS (Operative Safety Plan), in accordance to Legislative decree 494/96 for the completion of interior systems and structures within Wyeth Lederle S.p.A. and Sibeg- Coca Cola, Catania.

In October 1995 attended the training course for employers, as required by Legislative Decree 626/94, organised by the Industrial Association of Catania construction section ANCE.

In February 1996 attended a two-day training course relative to “Legislative Decree 626/1994 and its modifications” held in Rome, organised by the ITA of Torino.

In May 1998 attended the updating training course on “Norms and calculations of scaffolding, organised by the Order of  Engineers of Catania, and held at its offices on the 8th, 15th, 16th.

In October 1998 attended the National Conference on “ Safety at work in building construction job sites”, held in Catania on 30th and 31st.

In October 1999 attended the updating training course on: Contract management from designing phase to execution of work – new safety norms (Merloni ter) organised by Congresses S.r.l, held in Rome the 25th , 26th, 27th.

On 15th February 2001 attended the course “Merloni and safety at work sites”, held in Rome at the offices of the National Institute for Business Training “INFORMA”.

From the 16th to the 19th October 2001 attended the course “Merloni and safety at work sites” held in Rome at the offices of the National Institute for Business Trainings “INFORMA” in cooperation with the University of Studies of Rome three.

From February to April 2003 attended the course on “Norms for public works in Sicily", held at the President Park Hotel of Acicastello (CT), organised by the Order of Engineers of the Province of Catania.

On 7th May 2003 attended the seminar on “Evaluation of risks and protection from chemical agents, Legislative Decree 25/03”, held in Catania at the Sheraton Hotel, organised by the European  Environment Institute.

On 30th May 2003 attended the Technical Seminar “Safety designing, innovations and technologies” held at the President Park Hotel of Acicastello (CT), organised by Hilti Italia S.p.A.

On 24th October 2003 attended the Conference “New regulations relative to the minimum requirements of the safety plans” held at the President Park Hotel of Acicastello, organised by the Order of the Engineers of the Province of Catania.

In March 2004 attended the 14 hour course “Safety at work in building construction job sites: most recent laws”, held in Caltanissetta on the 30th - 31st at CEFPAS (Permanent and training updating centre for personnel attached to the public health service system).

On 14th October 2004 attended the Conference “Prevention of falls from upper parts of structures and constructions, experiences and perspectives”, held in Modena at the Ente Fiera, organised by the Joint Territorial Committees, during the 9th showroom edition dedicated to hygiene and safety at work.

On 21st and 22nd September 2005 attended the training course “Operational guide to safety at work at construction job sites “held in Rome, organised by the newspaper ‘Il Sole 24 Ore’.

On 15th and 17th January 2006 attended the technical seminar “Scaffoldings: state of art, norms and Pimus”, (Instructor Eng. Luigi attended the workshop for the National Conference dBA2006 Noise, Vibrations, Microclimate, Electromagnetic fields, Optical and Ionizing Radiations; Evaluation, prevention and reclamation of working areas; during the session dedicated to Vibrations, organised by the AUSL (national health branch) of Modena.

On 25 October 2007 attended the workshop of the technical conference held at SAIE07 concerning “Falls from the roof – technical design and solutions to search and create  safety as organized by Sicurpal S.r.l. – Anchoring equipment”.

On 7th May 2008 attended the workshop conference “New consolidated text and managerial tools concerning safety: Current norms and BS OHSAS (safety management systems) 18001:2007”, held in Catania.

On 17th and 18th September 2008 attended the course “Safety contracts management – DUVRI”, organised by EPC INFORMA and University of Rome Three, at the offices of the National Institute for Business Trainings “INFORMA” Rome.

On the 24th February 2009 attended the updating seminar “Management System for Safety at work”, organised and coordinated by the CPT of Sicily and held in Catania at the offices of the CPT.
